MCPS Will Begin the 2020-2021 School Year in a Virtual-only Instructional Model on August 31, As Scheduled (response to Gov. Hogan’s ‘reopening’ announcement)

MCPS-issued statement affirming its remote learning instructional status for Fall 2020. The statement is in response to Governor Larry Hogan stating “every single county school system in the state of Maryland is now fully authorized to begin safely reopening.”


Montgomery County Board of Education Approves Virtual-Only Return to School for Fall 2020

On Aug. 6, 2020 the Montgomery County Board of Education discussed MCPS draft ‘Recovery of Education Plan’ for the 2020-2021 school year. The Board voted to approve a virtual-only reopening for the 2020-2021 school year, which begins on August 31, 2020.
