The PTSA is delighted to welcome new parent and incoming president, Patsy Lloyd to the Blair community. Thank you Patsy for stepping into this new role at the same time as your rising high schooler. Meet Patsy in her message below.

Hello Blazer community,
My name is Patsy Lloyd and I am excited to serve as your incoming PTSA president for the 26-27 school year. I am a mom to a current 9th/rising 10th grader, as well as a middle schooler and an elementary schooler. Which means that I am only one year into parenting a high schooler – but will be in this stage, continuously, until 2034!
As we close the year out, I have three important things to note:
First, many thanks and appreciation are needed for our current PTSA Board for volunteering their time and effort to support our Blair community. And a special thanks to Heidi Anderson, who has done an amazing job championing the needs of our community as the current PTSA president. I’m not sure how she does so much but I do know that she has left big shoes for me to fill.
Second, congratulations to the families graduating from Blair. Four years seem like a long time when you’re in the grind, but I’m sure that it feels like only yesterday that you first walked through the doors. Thank you for all the ways that you have contributed to Blair. And if any Blair graduates are reading this: a new adventure awaits! Be curious. Be steadfast. Do good in the world.
And third, a huge welcome to new Blazer families and hello to returning families. While there are many decisions yet to be made around the school budget, the Blair community will undoubtedly need our support this upcoming school year. Whether you are new to the school or a veteran, whether you are always engaged in PTSA or have never – please consider volunteering with the PTSA. We have vacant positions on the board (including: After Prom Chair, Fundraising Chair, GT Program Liaison [Magnet, CAP], Listserv Manager, Database Manager, Membership Chair). If any of these align with your skills and interests, please read over the descriptions for the volunteer positions and email: president@blairptsa.org.
PTSA membership information will be sent before the start of the 26-27 school year. The PTSA has funded several programs and activities such as: Cafecito con Los Padres, college prep activities, staff appreciation events, minority academic achievement events, AfterProm night, and teacher MiniGrants for student programs. We look forward to learning ways that we can use our resources to continue supporting our community.
Wishing you all a fantastic summer! You will hear from me soon.
Best,
Patsy Lloyd
