‘Annual Coat Drive’ at Blair High School (Accepting Clothing and Monetary Donations)

Message from the Annual Coat Drive Coordinator (November 14, 2019):

Thanks to everyone who has contributed coats and funds to the Annual Coat Drive. Students in need take them as soon as they come!We could use more coats, hats and gloves, and monetary donations that we use to buy new hats and gloves. Thank you SO much for your generosity! The coat drive will end on December 20th. Please let me know if you have any questions. And thanks for your support.

In recent years, thanks to the generous Blair community, Montgomery Blair High School has had successful winter coat collections via its Annual Coat Drive. They would like our help again, especially since the students very much appreciate warm winter outerwear.

TYPES OF DONATED ITEMS REQUESTED: 1) Teen-friendly’ winter coats (new or used) that are in good conditions; 2) teen-to-adult size warm gloves and hats (Note: Please wash the gloves and hats before donating) and 3) smaller, child-size coats, gloves and hats, so that students can give them to their younger siblings.

WHERE TO DROP-OFF CLOTHING DONATIONS: Main office of Montgomery Blair High School. Items will be distributed to Blair students in need. The Annual Coat Drive will also accept smaller child sizes as well, since students give them to their younger siblings.

FINANCIAL DONATIONS ACCEPTED: 1) Cash donations can be submitted to Financial Specialist Donna Franklin via Blair High School’s main office or 2) Checks can be made out to ‘Montgomery Blair High School’ with the note in the memo line “For Winter Coat/Hat Drive” and mailed to Financial Specialist Donna Franklin at Blair High School .

This outerwear collection enables Blair High School to distribute hundreds of coats, hats, and gloves to keep our students warm!
