World AIDS Day 2019: My Responsibility Our Responsibility (African American Health Program/Montgomery County)
December 1, 2019 @ 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Sunday, December 1 is World AIDS Day! The African American Health Program (AAHP) warmly invites you to celebrate with us in downtown Silver Spring.
We will present to you an action-packed agenda with guest speakers, wellness demonstrations and networking, giveaways including free condoms, and free screenings/testing for HIV, Hepatitis B and C, blood pressure, glucose cholesterol and A1C.
This year’s focus intends to remind everyone that preventing HIV and other STIs is both an individual and a collective responsibility. With African Americana accounting for several times the rate of HIV/AIDS/STI compared to other racial/ethnic groups, it’s time for us all to take action. We owe it to ourselves to make smart decisions about our sexual health.

The African American Health Program is funded and administered by the Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services and implemented by McFarland & Associates, Inc.
