Teen dating violence is a pattern of physically, sexually, verbally, and/or emotionally abusive or controlling behavior in a dating relationship. One in three teens in the U.S. is a victim of physical, sexual, emotional or verbal abuse.

Join us for RespectFest, on March 29th, 2020 from 1 – 4 pm at the Wheaton Community Recreation Center. This FREE festival, geared towards middle and high school students, parents, educators and youth serving providers, will have activities, games and information about celebrating healthy relationships and on dating violence prevention and where someone can go to get help. The festival is being emceed by Alex from the MoCo Show / MoCo Snow, and there will be performances, free food, raffles, free yoga and self-defense demos, and students can earn SSL hours for attending. The winners of the annual video contest will also be announced!

La violencia en el noviazgo adolescente es un patrón de comportamiento físico, sexual, verbal y/o emocionalmente abusivo o controlador en una relación de noviazgo. Uno de cada tres adolescentes en los Estados Unidos es víctima de abuso físico, sexual, emocional o verbal.

Acompáñenos en RespectFest, el 29 de marzo de 2020 de 1 a 4 pm en el Wheaton Community Recreation Center. Este festival GRATUITO, dirigido a estudiantes de secundaria y padres, educadores y jóvenes que sirven a proveedores, tendrá actividades, juegos e información sobre la celebración de relaciones saludables y sobre la prevención de la violencia en las citas y a dónde alguien puede ir a buscar ayuda. El festival incluye el maestro de ceremonias Alex del MoCo Show / MoCo Snow, habrá actuaciones, comida gratis, rifas, yoga gratis y demostraciones de autodefensa, y los estudiantes pueden ganar horas SSL para asistir. ¡Los ganadores del concurso anual de vídeo también serán anunciados!
