Join us for a discussion with Andrea S. Boyles, sociologist and author of You Can’t Stop the Revolution: Community Disorder and Social Ties in Post-Ferguson America. In conversation with Derek Hyra, Boyles will discuss her book and her scholarship focussing on social inequality; the intersection of race, gender, and class; community and neighborhood disorder; race, place, and policing; segregation and racial-spatial politics; social movements and collective action.

This event is part of the A Right to the City speaker series with American University’s Metropolitan Policy Center and the Smithsonian Institution Anacostia Community Museum.
